Accessibility

Usable by everyone

We do our best to make WebUploads work for everyone. That includes people who use keyboards, screen readers, magnification, and other assistive technologies. We are not perfect, especially around complex file upload and dashboard surfaces, and we are transparent about that.

Our commitment

Inclusive by intent

We design and build with accessibility in mind: semantic structure, keyboard focus, contrast, and readable typography on the marketing site and product chrome.

Honest about the hard parts

File platforms involve drag-and-drop uploads, dense dashboards, and multi-step transfer flows. Those surfaces are harder to make fully accessible, and we treat that as an ongoing responsibility, not a solved checkbox.

We want your feedback

If something blocks you (on the public site, in the dashboard, on an upload or download page, or when using assistive technology), tell us. We prioritize fixes that remove real barriers for real people.

The product

File platforms have real accessibility challenges

WebUploads is built for collecting and sharing business files: request upload links, short download codes, team workspaces, storage limits, and billing. Those workflows go beyond simple static pages: multi-file selection, progress states, tables of assets, and public-facing transfer pages.

We aim high: keyboard operability, meaningful labels, and progressive improvements as we ship. Where an upload dropzone, dashboard table, or link flow falls short of your needs, we want to know so we can fix or work around the barrier.

Accessibility is a journey for a product like ours, not a one-time audit stamp.

What we work on

  • Keyboard & focus

Visible focus rings and navigable chrome so you can move through primary flows (sign-in, dashboard navigation, and key actions) without relying only on a pointer.

  • Structure & semantics

Headings, landmarks, labels, and meaningful button text that help screen readers and other assistive technologies make sense of pages and dialogs.

  • Contrast & motion

Brand colors chosen for legibility on light surfaces, plus respect for prefers-reduced-motion where we control animation.

  • Forms & status

Clear labels and error messaging on authentication, settings, and billing flows so you know what is required and what went wrong.

  • File flows

Upload and download experiences that aim to offer keyboard-usable controls and text alternatives alongside drag-and-drop, so transfers are not pointer-only where we can avoid it.

  • Continuous improvement

As dashboards, links, and team features evolve, we revisit accessibility with new work, not only at launch.

Standards

Guided by WCAG, improved with your feedback

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as our north star for the marketing site and product UI. We do not claim full conformance for every surface of the application at all times, especially complex upload, download, and dashboard workflows, but we design and test with those criteria in mind and address reported issues as a priority.

Third-party surfaces embedded in our flows (for example Stripe Checkout or the Stripe Customer Portal) are governed by those providers' own accessibility practices. We choose reputable partners and will help route issues when you encounter barriers there.
